Looking for advice on technique not necessarily spots...new to hybrid fishing

I have gone out twice in the last month. Caught 6 the first trip and 13 yesterday. Only 2 keeper size hybrids and several shorts with a few whites mixed in.

Trolling helbenders/deep divers with pet spoon at 2-2.5 mph. I also jigged one on the first drop immediately after we hooked up trolling... So were catching fish steadily, but only a few good size ones.

Will the Thumper produce bigger bites? does thumping work while trolling? or is there another technique we should try for bigger fish? or a certain time of year is better?

Perfectly happy with our results so far and will continue to try new spots around the lake, Just wondering if there is a techique that targets bigger hybrids? Bigger pet spoons and or Rattle traps?

As far as a report goes, marking and catch around old ponds in the main lake. 20-30' water. Most of the strikes are on the hellbender with a egg weight and silver spoon

Thanks for any tips

Try the Jet Divers.I actually like them better than the Hellbenders.

Thanks! I'll try those out. I like that they come in various sizes and depths.

Going to try some swim baits and maybe a umbrella rig behind them in a few weeks
