Fished solo from noon to 7pm and had a good day. Landed a HARD fighting 26" right off the bat in the deep river bed at the mouth of the cove just East of HP Marina in 55 fow. Marked good fish there but only 1 bite. Then decided to go inside that cove and it was loaded with sandies in 25 to 35 fow. Caught 15 sandies and 1 baby striper there on mepps and left them biting to go hunt for stripers.

I went west working many many shallow points, cuts, coves and finally found one that was loaded with HUNGERY fish. I caught 24  stripers there and 3 big sandies up to 16.5 inches, in 8 to 15 fow, all on 4" yellow/banana sassy.

Total caught: 18 sandies and 25 stripers with 2 overs a 22 and a 26". The fish were hungry and fought GOOOOD today!

Water temp 61 to 64f, wind steady and perfect SE 10 mph all day.

Good luck guys!

Nice work Todd! There are very few fish to be found near Eisenhower, East Burns Run, and Grandpappy Point. I have not caught anything since mid February. Skunked twice in March and again this morning from sunrise to 11 am. Looking forward to May!

Congratulations on your solid day and fish!

If you google "best striper lakes in us", i was not surprised at all bigT ranks #1. Lake Twok is #11. I recognized many of the lakes on that list as well and seen you Tube videos on those lakes and we have it good in Texas with Texoma cheers

Thanks. I would try 5 to 15 ft depth at all the points, coves in Little Mineral or shallow areas closer to the deep river channel since you can't go far with a pontoon.

Thanks for the report Todd. Great report. Texoma is #1 but sometimes it can be intimidating because it is so big, but thanks to the reports from so many on this forum it gives us a better chance of catching a trophy striper.

Good fish hunting. Some days you have to work hard to find them, especially on such a large lake like Texoma. I'm looking forward to getting back there soon.

I had a blast Thursday so i took a friend out Saturday (and wife says I can go fish lol). We fished from noon to 7pm. I left the house with South wind and air temp at 75f but when I got to the ramp the temp 65f and still dropping with string North wind.

Lake was white capN good so we fished the protected shallow structure areas, picking one-two here and there. Birds were not helping at all. Then at 6 we decided to go south to open choppy waters and found birds workin in walnut creek with the graph pics below. Graph looks like that for 45 mins but we only caught 4 sandies and 4 boxes out of that cuz they were very finicky.

Total caught: 11 sandies and 11 stripers with 3 overs, a 21, 23 and 26". Most fish caught on sassy, a few on mepps. I rely on SI heavily and when i see fish on the side, i can usually get a bite or hookup. I love the HB's SI feature!

That's all I got. Happy Easter to all and good luck guys.

I covered 39 miles Thursday and 45 miles Saturday on Ocean Texoma grin
If only stripers would group up more on structures like sandies... noidea
