If you running any type of Live image on your trolling motor, you really need to look at Rite Hite or Live Foot. Using my Ultrex on Spot lock you will have a hard time stay on the fish. But when you have your transducer on the pole of some type you can control the image much better while in spot lock mode. But one thing you should consider is add a stabilizer to the trolling motor and the pole. Check out Bassfishn electronics . I'm not getting anything to talk about these products I just wanting to share some items to protect your investment. Also, DD26 offers a cover for all transducers for trailering as well.
