Last trip 5 months ago, I added 14# Suffix advance FC on about 4 of my reels. I expected them to be chalked since my Sunline Assassin Gets bad memory after a few weeks of a lack of use. I was planning to respool but was out of FC....went to check how bad the reels were hoping I could talk myself into not having to drive across town for a spool of FC today....and I was BIGLY surprised! The memory was basically none. Was a little tighter on the circles/curls than when off a fresh spool....but it was in better shape than anything Id ever seen sit on a spool for more than a couple weeks. Line felt very supple too....i was really almost shocked how supple it still was.
I havent tested abrasion resistance yet, but the line memory and suppleness seems second to nothing ive ever tried. Anyone got long term results with it....did it change to your new primary FC? Im really considering ordering a bigger spool of 14 and 16# test and riding with it over my go to sunline assassin. Im gonna drag it around to test its abrasion resistance...but wanna see if anyone else has had surprisingly solid results compared to other FCs......any big fish on it? I worry supple might not mean the strongest....Assassin never had me worrying about it snapping on me as long as I kept an eye on the line for those micronicks.

I haven't used it. I'm primarily a Sunline FC Sniper & Seaguar Red Label if I'm in a pinch. I do use a line conditioner on the Red Label. It seems to help.

Seems like a lot of people arent using it or havent even heard of it. I ran out of assassin and the local cabelas didnt have the # test I wanted, and this seemed like the next best option. Sniper is better on line memory than assassin and I thought about buying a bulk spool of that....but that Suffix advance was way better than both. I think ill just buy the big spools this time, and see how things turn out. I was draggin a lot this afternoon.....and I was also pretty impressed. The assassin may be a little better...but its super close! and I felt like Assassin was one of the best, if not the best for abrasion resistance...on rocks at least.

Never tried it, did try Sun Line and hated it. Now I use McCoy's mean green 15# love the stuff. Tough as boot leather, low memory & stretch. Was a Trilene XT & Big Game user for years, tried McCoy's once and now it's all I use. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-116294-136268-line_1.jpg)
Reality. What a concept!
