The carp are moving shallow and working the shorelines adjacent to deep water. I have been catching them on range cubes and with a fly rod. Very nice sir. What weight fly rod do you typically use on carp? I use a 6/7 weight fly rod for almost all of my freshwater fly fishing. Tippet size varies depending on if I am after a tippet class record. I recommend a center drag fly reel, since I have had carp destroy 2 click and pawl fly reels.

Yep they are! Been catching them cast netting for shad along the bank!
