Anyone else notice that Ott Defoe removed his front graph so he could stand in front of the trolling motor pedal?

Yep, and fishing barefoot. Good way to make a living!

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

The 3 pound minimum has punished them today. It's tight. Ott has rallied late. Great stuff

Looks like my 8.88 big fish prediction was in the ballpark. Palestine had big ones, I think they've adapted and haven't loaded up north again yet.

Adapted to lack of vegetation, that is.

That doesn't hold the fish near as good as coon tail.

It has been since Mid-February when I was up there and didn't push too far into Kickapoo. Saw some floating residual results of salvinia. I'm sure you have been there since me, glad to hear those two species are OK.

I enjoyed watching it, even if they weren't catching. Around 2:30 I'd seen enough and headed to the lake... I'll show em! roflmao Figured I'd fish the far south end of the lake to stay out of the way. It was real muddy in the back of Chimney Creek. One bite, no catch. Fished until after dark. bang

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Lone wolf you didn't even come close. Now if they had come to Fork instead, I'd guess you might have been right.

The anglers found out the real truth. Palestine was tough this past week. The high schoolers did better.
