new comes with a good warranty and dealer installed just makes everything that much easier.

one of my problems with rebuilt is if something is not right it is a huge pain in the butt to try to exchange, bought one thru oriellys that had bad pushrods/lifters, next one had a crack in a head (longblock) that let water pass to the cyl.

oriellys had no problem taking them back but I was without a truck for over a month due to it, finally got them to pay half of my rental cost.

too old to mess with that again.
