TPWD is no longer displaying the Other Methods state record category (although the title is still Other Methods) and replaced it with an All-Tackle category. Based on the posting on the TPWD record webpage, the records have not been revoked, but you can no longer see them. I know several of you had records in this category, so for historic purposes, I am posting the last copy of the record page that I have. I believe it is from June 2021.

Unfortunately, I did not keep a copy of the Junior Angler records, so I am not able to post those. TPWD dropped the method column, so you cannot tell the method of the catch.

No East Texas categories for telephoning and dynamite?

I never thought some of these species were in Texas. Pacu and American Eel? Never would have thunk it.

Speaking of records, is there an instructional post somewhere that tells what to do or who to call if an angler catches a record for any particular body of water?
