My cranking battery has bit the dust, Is it better to do a cranking battery or get a duel purpose battery for a replacement?

Thanks for your info.

I prefer a straight cranking group size 31 AGM battery.

The one that bit the dust was a duel purpose, i did not know witch would do better. Like everyone i also got fish finders bilge pump, lights, etc, etc, hooked up to this same battery?

Any concerns for Delco "Maintenance Free" battery? I am "old fashion" so prefer adding distilled water as needed. Not AGM but "flooded". My "flooded" Interstate cranking group 31 is on last leg (5+ years).

get dekas, made in penn. and same co. makes duracell (sams club carries them). I have a group 24 dual purpose for cranking, 3 9" garmins, pumps etc. had it 3 yrs now I think and still cranks like new and never had a problem starting late in the day.

have 3 grp 27 I was using for trolling motor, only reason I switched was to go to lithium.

I believe Deka has a location here in DFW like in Carrollton or something like that.
