My dumb@ss caught the taillight of the trailer next to me with my front tire. I left a note for him to call me so I could pay to have it fixed. He called and said no worries that just the lens was cracked. Caught up to him at a later date and tried to give him some money to cover it and he refused.

Just double park. Then you just get key scratches in the truck. roflmao

I wish they had just left a note that said, FU.

Had one run a trailer down the side of my truck one year with zero info left on my windshield, now I just park way the hell away where its almost impossible to hit either the truck or trailer......some people shouldn't be driving, and some have zero business pulling in/out with a trailer!

People like to break into the ones that are parked really far away.

I'd rather them break in than mess up my rig. They may get some dental floss (not that the meth heads would use it) and some chewing gum.

Had it happen to me at Pines. Years ago I was fishing lake Athens when parking I misjudged and hit a trailer. No-one had left the ramp area yet so I rushed down and was looking for the boat that matched the trailer and spoke with several. Finally found the owner and he wanted to meet after the tourney that night and talk about the damages. We met and agreed on a value and I paid him right there. I also gave him my number in case the repairs were more than expected. Guess they were not as he never called me back.

My trailer got hit at Grapevine a few years ago and the note on my truck was from a witness the person who hit me did not leave a note. After finding out who owned the trailer and contacting him he said he didn't hit anybody but he said he would look at his trailer and call me back. It turned out that he had let his girlfriend back the trailer in the water and she admitted to the accident when he confronted her. I have no doubt that this guy would have done the right thing if he would have known about it at the time. He ended up paying for the damages.

Had it a number of times. Never had a note. I just try and find a spot that I can back into.

Is this a common thing for anglers to do? How many of you have had this happen to you?

More and more people just don't care about others any more especially if something they did will cost them some money.

I'm still shocked at the number of times that someone parks so close to my car and trailer that the back of their trailer is just inches from my trailer blocking me in. Happened to me the other day, took about five minutes of back and forth to just back out of my spot.

I bumped a trailer and did no damage but left a note on windshield with my info. The guy sent me a text thanking me and confirmed no damage.
Simple common courtesy.

First of all, park you rig like a respectable person. Center up and don’t park on or over parking lines. You’re just asking for trouble if you do. On a busy weekend someone will try to squeeze into a spot and if you’re the impatient and parked in a hurry individual then not only have you caused the problem you will have a problem.

Park where you’re supposed to, if you can help it.

If you see someone struggling to get in or out of a spot then offer help to guide them.

Accidents are going to happen but respect yours and others property and there should rarely be that big of a problem and damn sure leave a note if you damaged someone’s property.

It doesn’t take that much effort to be a respectable and decent human being.
