This is a scheduling error by MLF, not THSBA.
THSBA schedules was out way before MLF...and the only day they will be on the water together is Saturday, so it's not that big of a deal as some want to make it.
These are pros...they will be fine...and they are going to catch some nice ones....the big ones are being caught in the last week or so...will be fun to watch it in person.

I cant wait to go to the weigh in.......oh wait....LOL!!! (that statement alone should get the BASS/MLF guys going for pages....)

Anyone else miss Big O and his enlightening posts?

Yep, it’s insane how many kids are fishing them. The sport doesn’t need anymore growing.

I wonder if HS fishing takes into consideration of any of the pro events scheduled?

It's kind of hard to teach a huge group of young and impressionable minds to let the pros have their "work space" and then schedule an event that conflicts with said pros roflmao

Awesome!

Well the kids will get to see some of the pros at work.

10.15....Lot of dead water on Palestine and a 200 plus field is not ideal, I don't understand the thought process...maybe they are just trying to build character.

So should non-high school tournaments be limited also?

Let’s get back to the OP question.

Guess the winning weight.

Always gonna be a discussion about HS events. Some like them some don’t. At least we can agree on that.

There aren't very many tournaments with 300 boats fishing. Especially on a lake that fishes as small as stine does. But to answer your question bluntly. No. Not going to get into a pizzing match and derail this thread though. I have my opinion, yours probably differs. That's fine.

Yes

So, champs, ttt, etc limited to 100 or so boat fields?
Kids fishing tournaments= bad
Adults fishing tournaments = ok
Seems hypocritical to me.

I said limit both of them, how is that hypocritical? The number of tournaments on some lakes is getting insane. Of course they all seem to have the weigh in at the same time, causing ramps to be insane. Charge more and limit entries.

But I have never seen a 300 boat tournament in BC or TTT, not saying it’s not possible though.

Not getting in yalls measuring contest, but BC has had multiple 300+ Rayburn tourneys. Jus sayin.

I’m a captain for a HS team fishing Sat. Only thing I know is we can be in the water before MLF takeoff, so at least the starting spot won’t be an issue. Wait until some of those pros head north and see the boat lights as far as you can see.

The hypocrite comment wasn't aimed at your post. I just got your post in with the quote. Your right, if your going to limit the kids then to be fair you should limit the adults. To be honest the few times I've had a negative thing happen like someone cutting you off or something like it seems to be some adult mostly in a tournament, not a high school team. I agree with everybody that the lakes are crowded, but I also like to see kids outdoors and not on video games or drugs
