Several of the big-time pros are getting rich off sponsor dollars while the vast majority of your guys are spending money wrapping their boats and buying jerseys for a 10% discount and "recognition". Sponsors don't have to pay. Guys are lined up by the thousands to "rep the best product on the market" just so they can look like a pro. Unless you're adding some legit value in the R&D department of a company, you're lucky if you get some free product and a truck sticker.

This is starting to go the route of, what’s a professional fisherman really worth. I’m sure in their minds, they are under valued; but very few of us really care about them overall. Yes, a few make sales, but the majority do not. Don’t win, don’t get paid…

Where do y’all see this kinda stuff happening? I have only seen wrapped boats at Bassmaster events. Maybe a couple at BassChamps.

Eh.I Guess I don’t pay it much attention. Maybe they should make them bright orange, so I’ll see them and let themm get in my head.

In a sport where most the anglers aren't making much money fishing they rely on sponsor money. That company has the money. Pay the man. No reason for this BS. Put all corporate America companies on blast that like to screw the little guys. IMO

You’ve never bought a bait because a pro showed it in a video and you happened to like that pro? I’ve bought multiple baits that way and turns out I usually like the bait. Sometimes I don’t so it’s a one time sell, but more than not let’s be honest so many of these baits are similar you might as well buy one from a company that supports a guy you find entertaining.

It doesn’t make any difference if you purchased anything because of a pro or not. If you make a deal with a company and you hold up your end of the contract they should hold up their end.

It’s possible, my buddy has no clue who any of the current guys fishing are and has no clue what YouTube is. Well he knows what YouTube is, but he doesn’t watch it.

It sounds like to me someone over committed their resources and dug themselves a hole and Zack is caught in it. I've seen some of the stuff NASCAR does when it comes to sponsors and their drivers. They screen companies to make sure they are strong enough to back up all sponsorship deals with their teams before documents are signed. I just wonder if MLF and BASS do the same?
