Great video and good for you on not giving away any locations. Seen way to many good spots ruined by YouTube videos.

Its always amazing to me how many fish can stack up in such a small spot. I had a spot last year that I could see bottom fairly well but couldnt see any fish at all. I proceeded to catch probably 125-150 in that spot in a few hours and you could never see them until they hit the lure. Makes you wonder just how many fish are really down there.

I'm surprised they're not extinct yet with people keeping so many. Does anyone really eat dozens of fish?

Dozens of filets eaten at a family or friendly fish fry aren't uncommon at all.

The State of Texas regulates the harvesting of our fish and other natural resources so they are plentiful and sets limits to protect them.so we can harvest large quantities of some species.

Most people don't catch them year round or even monthly so when the getting is good they stock up for the year. They aren't going extinct LOL this has been going on forever.

You have to know what you’re doing to catch big numbers of sandbass in the spring, they’re only easy to catch if you know what you’re doing. It’s a 10% of the fisherman catch 90% of the fish thing, so there aren’t as many fish being caught as one would think. A lot of times one small pocket will have hundreds, if not thousands of fish in it. And they multiply like rabbits, it would be hard to keep too many of them, same goes for crappie. Now why anyone eats the nasty things I’ll never know, they’re not exactly quality table fare.

It is different here than in Washington. TPWD actually manages the fishery instead of what Washington state does, lets the Indians have all they want and put and take stocking. I find it odd that you would even ask such a question " Does anyone really eat dozens of fish?" Yes and we are not all on welfare either.
