Azul’s Catfish get together and Jr Angler event is this Sunday, April 3 at Westlake Park on Lake Lewisville at 7 AM. Will be handing out gifts to every kid in attendance and we’ll also have prizes for Jr Angler Big Fish, Jr Angler smallest fish, Jr Angler skunk. Bring the whole family out for a day of free fun and good times.

We’ll meet up at 7 AM at the pavilion next to the boat ramp. Will have a short meet and greet and a fisherman’s prayer and then we will fish until one or 1:30. Boat and bank anglers are welcome and we’ve been chumming the area all week for the bank anglers. We will weigh the big fish and small fish and then the fish fry to follow at 2pm. All fish over 5 pounds will be released and we will be talking to the kiddos about the importance of big fish conservation as well as responsible harvest.

We have 8 cast nets, 2 tackle boxes, 6 panfish kits, 6 catfish tackle kits, tackle backpack, 6 cans of Stubby Cheese Bait, hooks, bobbers and weights. Mad Kats is sponsoring our Jr Angler prizes and DAK’S Guide Service has donated a free catfish trip for the Jr Angler that gets Skunked. Even if the kiddos don’t catch a single fish they will all walk away winners and go home with some Catfishing gear.
