My buddy said it’s close now, he’s guessing it might have another foot or two drop left. But he hasn’t been home in a week to see how close it is.

This is probably pretty accurate, was there Saturday and Sunday. It's down to one lane at the moment and the lake is continuing to drop about an inch or so a day due to the release of water.

Normally I would know as I go to Del Rio every few weeks since my in-laws live there. Quit bring the boat because I hate taking my FIL fishing but running out of excuses so may be hauling it down in the near future.

Saw a post on FB that they are scheduled to release quite a bit of water on April 3rd, I’d go ahead and assume that box will be done after that. Need some serious rain!

They’ve been releasing water for a few weeks, no telling how low it will go.

It's dropped 3 feet in the last 30 days!!!!!! At that rate box will be closed in less than two months.

Record low was 61 ft (1055.93) in May of 2013. In 98, 2002 it was close also. They have slowed the release down some but heard it will set a record this year if we get no rain. Our club just moved to Diablo instead of Box due to the level. Usable but single lane and not for long.

I launched at Box Canyon Saturday without trouble. As mentioned by others, it is down to one lane.

This is from the Mexican Officials:

They will make a new transfer to the La Amistad dam, CILA reveals that it has 18.5 percent of its capacity
Just last March 28, the transfer of water from the La Amistad dam finished and they are already preparing a new extraction.

Ignacio Peña Treviño, head of the Mexican section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (CILA) based in the Ciudad Acuña dam, confirmed that starting at 0:00 on Monday, April 4, a new transfer of water to the across the Rio Grande.

Currently there is an expense of 33 cubic meters per second, but as of Monday it will be increased to 60, which correspond to the part of the United States and 3 only 3 for Mexico.

There is no end date for the new extraction since it belongs to the American part, Peña Treviño pointed out.

During March, 100 million cubic meters were extracted from the La Amistad dam.

He revealed that currently the La Amistad Dam in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila and Del Río, Texas, is currently at 18.5 percent of its capacity, a very low level, although we have been at 16, he commented.

We hope that from May to October of this year there will be copious rains that can once again feed the reservoir, he said.

Regarding the conditions of the curtain walls of the dam, they do not present any failure or risk situation due to the constant maintenance to which they are subjected, he concluded
