I'll be coming out to fish lake LBJ this fall (Oct/Nov) and staying on the Colorado river around Kingsland. How does that area fish or is better fishing down on the main lake. Boat is not super fast so hoping there is good fishing in the upper reaches of the lake.
Any help would be appreciated. Oh, I'm primarily a bass fisherman. Thanks.

Go up the Colorado and fish the coves with all of those docks and slips on your left side. Go as far back into them as you can go!!!!! Fish slow, throw as close and as far back as you can on those docks and slips and hang on. I'm a topwater person so I would have a frog and a popper tied on. Going towards the dam on the left side you'll find several coves and canals and you won't have to run far at all, they are very close to Kingsland. Some very heavy bags and tournament wins came out of those coves and canals. LBJ is my favorite lake, good luck!!!
