Why are there no female anglers in the Pro type series? Of all the professional "sports" it would seem that fishing would be one that anyone could compete in.
Maybe they just can't back a trailer? fish

There have been females in the sport. They usually don't make it long competing at the top levels - for whatever reason..
However, that may be changing a bit. I saw that two young ladies just won the Louisiana HS State Championship and I know there have been some ladies finish well in the Texas HS circuit the last couple of years, so who knows.....

It does take a special kind of stupid to stand on the deck of a boat in wind, rain, cold, hot, etc for 8-10 hours to win $500 and a chunk of wood - most women are a little smarter than that...

To be blunt none good enough to qualify, have to qualify through the Opens for Elite series and the Toyotas>Pro Circuit for the MLF Tour.

Back in 07 thru 09 they had the official BASS Women's Bass Tour. Some of those ladies were real good and after it folded went on to fish the opens. But as far as I know none ever qualified to fish what is now the Elites.

Perhaps this new group of young female anglers will go on to qualify for their college fishing teams and make it higher in the pros.

This...

There's still quite a few of these OG ladies BASS tour anglers competing.

I remember reading about Denise S, Deborah H, and few others. Now you just hear about Trait Z, but it's all negative. Not sure why, she's doing what many of us dream of doing.

Between travel, practice, tournament and sponsor obligations I'm not sure many have the desire for that grind.

It may just be the way we are programed by nature. Women are mostly programed to be nurturers and most men are programed to be "hunters / gatherers".

Sometimes things just are what they are and as bad as we may want everything to be a "level playing field", it may never be...

If they start having female bass tournaments, will it be ok to enter as a biological male while identifying as a female? Asking for some of the guys on this forum.

Kristine Fischer who goes by midwestfishergal on IG is top level but in kayak tournaments. IMHO she has the skill to compete with any guy bass boat or kayak.

So, your problem is she was born into a rich family? I guess that's as good a reason as any not to like someone you don't know.

Probably this. You could argue that family/personal life gets put on the side burner for a job like this, but I guess it’s no different than someone that travels for work.
