12 lb Seaguar Redline has been my go-to for DD22's and the like for years. I'll either go 12 lb or 15 lb for squarebills.

For cranking I use PLine CX premium or McCoys Mean green. Seguar Invizx for feel baits and Suffix 832 when I use braid.
PlLine CXX when I need maximum strength.

Best bang for the buck? Another Big Game fan another mono that I like to use is BPS Excel. I hope to see a lot of post on here for braid and fluorocarbon. I've experimented with both very little and would like to see some opinions on those. When I was fishing heavily before, braid was just getting started and I'm not even sure fluorocarbon was even around yet.

I crank with red label since it's cheap and I change cranking line often.

Everything else is Gama or 100% fluorocarbon by Berkley

I like InvisX. I bought two new spools of the Seaguar Basix101, but have t tried it yet. Itโ€™s box labeling touts the same characteristics as InvisX, at $9.99 a spool, and I will find out soon.

Hard to beat Red Label for all around use, but it is getting more expensive (and harder to get locally for me).

I have a spool of Red Cajun line and a spool of Big Game in the boats spooling station, but have never tried them. They are probably 15+ years old. Theyโ€™d probably break on a cast. Haha.

I'm old school, Trilene monofilament. I range anywhere from 10 lbs to 17 lbs. I've tried fluorocarbon, co-polymer and for my peace of mind I use monofilament.
I also like monofilament for cranking because it gives some when you set the hook.
I have had way too many breaks, snaps with other line other than monofilament and I just find that I like it much better.

10 or 12 lb PLine. Havenโ€™t had issues with break offs, knock on wood.

For cranking I like Seaguar Red Label. I got it off Amazon for $55 for 1000 yards of 20#

After last week I am a big believer in Gamma Edge. I thought I had lost my mind when Shane @ SW Parts talked me into buying 200 yards of 25 for $70 but after catching two big fish on it, and both of them having their teeth all over the line above my bait I am SOLD!!

So from here on, I am using Gamma Edge for all my soft plastics & jigs.
