Best friend and his wife came out to the ranch and he stuck a toad. 10lbs on the nose and his second DD from the Ribbit. These Camelots are so dang impressive ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-61480-133848-633fa281_4006_4953_80ed_f77350c0d77a.jpeg)

Nice! Did you stock with Camelot Bell bass?
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Do you mind telling me how many you started with and how big your tank is?

Hey Brandon, my brother and I are about to do the same thing.
Do you mind telling me how many you started with and how big your tank is? Our lake is 15-16 acres when full with max depth of 40ft at the dam. We let the bait fish get established for three yrs then we stocked 1000 Camelots.

Do you guys have to stock with bluegills every year or do they reproduce fast enough on their own?

Do you guys have to stick with bluegills every year or do they reproduce fast enough on their own? So far we haven't had to stock any additional bluegill. We do remove approx 300-400 bass per yr

We do remove approx 300-400 bass per yr Good plan. What we do is those little dinks we snip a gill and then release them. The idea being they are quite likely to get chomped up by a big bass. Even a 10 inch bass takes a lot of food to grow... might as well keep that chow in the food chain for your big guys. Or turtles... whatever finds them first.
