I had booked Wendell Ramsey on Ivie about a month ago. He is a first class gentleman and knows Ivie like the back of his hand. He lives close by and has seen the highs & lows of the lake. I think it is safe to say Ivie is in the limelight right now as evidenced by the staggering numbers of giant fish caught in the past 14 months.

Hope you enjoy this video of me landing a 12.80 GIANT. Thanks to my good buddy Kirk for being so gracious to film the event as it unfolded. She was released a few minutes later to make more ivie babies.

Kirk landed a beautiful 10.07 about an hour earlier so he was kicking back and recuperating from that battle.

I'm kind of a rod-snob man. It was an older Loomis IMX. I keep it handy cuz if we get the boat stuck on a sandbar I can use it as a push pole

well if there was a video to get me to shut my mouth about high end Loomis this is it! even before I saw that bait fall out its mouth I thought the rod bend/action was just right to keep it pinned. very impressive to haul that thing in seeing how that thing didnt seem to have a hook point in it at all!
