Today got a bad surprise, as my power tilt stopped working holding motor in top position. I was able to release pressure and drop it on trailering brackets but I need to find somebody to fix it for good
Boat is ranger, motor is Evinrude.

Thank you in advance

Usually a pretty easy fix. Are you wanting advice on how to fix this yourself, or a recommendation on where to send it to get it fixed?

This motor requires special tools to unscrew cylinder (90-115HP Evinrude ETech only) plus extra tool to unscrew assembly inside to replace o-rings and top.
Plus, I not the DYI guy like I was before, so I am not sure. These two tools are around $150 plus replacement kit $125-220.

I do not have friends who can help me with the project if I buy parts and tools.

As for places, who works on these motors, I am aware of two: Rockwell Marine (12 weeks waiting list) and Lake Forrest Marine (I made appointment for May 31). It looks I am out of luck with fishing this spring.

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it.

What is the year/model of your motor?
