I see in the RedCrest Day 2 results that Jacob Wheeler only caught 3-13 lbs ... what happened to him?? He's usually among the leaders and his ability to find fish is uncanny.

Weights are zeroed after today. He knew he had enough yesterday to qualify for the Knockout Round and didn't want to beat on his fish I imagine. Assuming Scott Suggs did the same thing (zeroed today) and he was only 5 ounces from being bumped out of the knockout round. That would've sucked.

No way. The format makes everyone fish hard all the time unlike those 5 fish events where guys coast.

He was probably scouting for the Knockout round. What little I got to watch live today he caught nothing until he fell back close to the cut line then put 2 or 3 good fish in the boat to give him a comfortable margin to make it to the next round.

This right here… If you watch his YouTube channel he talks about if he has a comfortable lead and knows he can make the cut he will go “practice” on day two. He’s smart and doesn’t burn up all his fish all at once…

Evers had his hooks bent over so he wouldn’t catch any after he caught his first couple fish.

Watched it for a while today. Then got out some paint and watched it dry.
