I have a 14ft jon with a fixed jet outboard, modified with a jet ski nozzle that I rigged with a mulching system for grass and I can get anywhere I want and if I get stuck I have no issues moving such a lite rig. In the shallows I reign and I very rarely see anyone

Shallow..... Makes for some interesting arguments for sure. Nothing matches an airboat, so they always win the shallow contest, BUT noisy thing will run every redfish out of a back lake. So first in shallow, last in stealth. Jet or mud motor? Mud motor, air cooled, can run in some really shallow muck. Right up until they find hard sand, then party ceases right there. Jet can run micro shallow get up and going in really thin water, because a prop needs a column of water to work in, jet just needs a thin layer to operate in. But jets have their own set of challenges. You can take the grates out and it'll suck up and spit out matted grass, if you don't you'll constantly be cleaning it out. But when you do, you'll suck up a oyster shell, and that'll put you down. Jets hate rough water, and they turn like a oil tanker. But the ability to get into and out of some sketchy stuff makes it worth while. Then there's a few guys who really know how to setup tunnel prop rigs. This dude out of Rockport runs stuff I'd be scared of in my boat.

he corners like a airboat , sliding ... maybe I am wrong thats too much silt to suck up into a jet or a water pump in my humble opinion
