I'm in the market for a new crankbait rod. I have gift cards to bass pro and is like to stay at $100 or less. These are the ones I narrowed it down to since I'm looking for a moderate action.

What do y'all think, and why?

Duckett Fishing Silverado Casting Rod - DFSV70M-CC

Falcon BuCoo SR Casting Rod - BRC-4-17

Lew's KVD Series Crankbait Casting Rod - LKVDCC2

Lew's David Fritts Perfect Crankbait Speed Stick Casting Rod - Model LDFP70M

Of those listed, I’d have the most confidence in the Falcon BRC-4-17 “Cranker”

I just bought 2 KVD CC series. Took me one trip and two fish to break a KVD CC series. Snapped about 1/4 down. I replaced it with a Shimano SLX for the same price. So far this rod has been great. The second KVD CC came with one of the guides epoxy shut. I checked out the Greg Hackney cranked but I assume the quality is the same as the KVD.

I believe finding a decent quality composite rod are the most important factors.

I’d go with the Falcon or the BPS Crankin stick even though it’s not on your list

Shimano SLX is a sweet rod for under $100. I also like the BPS CarbonLite 2.0 I have a few of them and have put them through some tuff stuff and held up just fine.

Do something different, you will be surprised what happens.

I like the Premier Series better but in your price range is the St Croix Triumph - $104.97 at BPS

Falcon BuCoo SR Casting Rod - BRC-4-17. I have this one and like it.

I also own and like a Shimano SLX rod.

For $99 the Shimano slx glass 7'4 is very nice. It's light and makes an awesome trap/chatterbait rod. It'd be a great squarebill and cranking rod up to 5xd-6xd

Id prolly go falcon from that list...but id also likely add a few more bucks to get a Powell cranking rod! I dont think they are fully glass but I do think its got fiberglass components and glass rods def help keep them pinned in my opinino.

The Lew's David's Fritt's rod is a great rod for the price! Very well made and you'll like where their trigger is placed. I just recently went thru this process and I'm glad I settled on the Lew's Fritt's rod. They have a model to suit your cranking need. I bought it direct from Lews.

I'm testing a couple of rods right now in that price range and so far, not too pleased with them. The Duckett Ghost, not a fan of micro guides and I can't seem to keep it loaded at the boat and loose fish. The other I've thrown a crankbait on for an hour or two; an Abu Garcia Jordon Lee Cranking Rod, no fish yet but it does have micro guides it just doesn't seem like I get the distance out of my cast with the micro guides versus regular rod guides. The David Fritz Lews is on my radar, I have a rod that he designed from back early in his carrier in the 80's and even though it is now missing about 2 inches off the tip; another one broke by a rod box lid, it will still throw a monster crank bait a country mile and it was a 7-footer.
