Anyone fish Beaver Lake in northwest Arkansas for stripers and have any advice? Plan on making a trip in May to try our luck at maybe landing a few good 'uns.

Does anyone know when the Big Striper Topwater action starts? I used to go with a high school friend back in the 80's and would like to go back up there again for some topwater action.

Better get a guide. It's a tough Lake if you don't know it. When it's good its great but when you are in the wrong stop ( and its a huge lake), it will be a long day.
Now if you are going to be there for a week and have a nice fast boat and some excellent electronics, you can probably find them.

I hear ya on that. Gotta get the right one. That lake and the white river can tough. I hired a trout guide for the white river back in the day. Paid him $500 and all I got was a boat ride.
