Look at the second pic I just posted and you're still going say it's shadows?
The stripe looked painted on. The stripe had a very strange precise exact straight line edges.
This line angles away from the belly.
Download and zoom in. Again, the shadow on your face is the same as the shadow on the fish. You should probably get that looked at

Pure coincidence that both "stripes" are in exact same direction as other shadows.
Lets see 1 pic where stripes are in opposite direction? Bet there are none.
Also pure coincidence that both "stripes" start at exactly the pelvic fin, yet one runs down belly and other runs diagonal.across the fish.
Sorry, thwy are shadows.

Definitely a shadow on both of the bass pics…..they perfectly align with the shadow of the cap bill.
Everyone wants something odd or rare…..same reason soooooo many people make themselves “see” a mountain lion in fuzzy game cam pics.

Familiar with the old saying "Revenge is a dish best served cold"?
I bass fish Naconiche at least once a week sometimes 2 or 3.
I will catch another with similar "racing stripe" and take several pictures.
It may take a while, but I will do it for all you nonbelievers.
Those stripes are real, no fairy tale.

I like the blueish fins on the sandbass myself. Caught a Grennal with turquoise fins the other day but never a sandbass. Lol.
