Is there a proper (more efficient) angle for the TM while it rests on the bounce buster? I forgot to tighten the bolt down on my bounce buster/support leg and it worked itself down/out a few threads. Got me to thinking...is it better to have the leg set so that the TM is perfectly parallel with the boat deck or will it even matter if the TM is raised up at a slight angle? (so the TM head is slightly higher than the prop while in locked down position)

And while on the TM topic, what do you do with the tie down strap while fishing/running? I don't strap the TM down every time I need to make a move but what happens is the strap will start flapping around and hitting my bow mounted (touch screen) graph. OR it will just find its way over to covering my graph while I'm trying to fish. I can't tuck it inside the TM bracket...TM won't deploy properly. I tried tucking it into the foot control tray but it gets in the way of the pedal.

That bolt has always worked its way loose on all my minnkotas. As for the strap, lay it under the graph if it's not in the dash

Thanks Skipper. This is a Minnkota and new to me. My prior TM was a MG and did not have the bolt or the strap. And my graph is flush mounted so I can't tuck the strap under. I'm just jamming it into the foot control tray and 1/2 the time it works and 1/2 the time it gets in the pedal way. These simple issues don't seem to be issues when the fish are biting.

My TM strap will fold back against itself and felcro together, to be about 10 inches long when not in use. My TM support leg has a self locking nut under the bracket to tighten with a wrench. The peg has never moved.
