The last time I was there; which was last summer, I caught them on the smallest KVD XD in Sexy Shad, a 1/4 ounce Red Eye Shad in Sexy Shad, and a chartreuse Zoom Centipede Carolina rigged. I got bit pretty much everywhere we went and we fished from the dam all the way to the back of the lake under heavy pressure. That day kind of left me with a euphoria about that lake that I could do no wrong, but every body of water I fish regularly eventually kicks my butt. Sometimes that is just the way it goes. The white spinnerbait deal may be just the ticket right now. I know on Tawakoni they'll do the dirt thing this time of year. I've seen them come out of water there so shallow you should have been able to see their dorsal fin.

What about in between? You w ent shallow, and went deep. 5-8’ near spawning areas is where I would have concentrated

I second this! Was there last Saturday it was slow but they were in 1 ft of water caught a few good ones. They looked prespawn. Caught one on a chartreuse and white spinnerbait with a gold colorado blade and the other one hit a chartreuse and black back 1.5 crank. Was only there for like 4 hours but didn’t get a bite on anything else. I was up by the 155 bridge fishing close to the river channel. Tons of bait everywhere and I’m almost positive thats what they were eating.
