So are you using a tablet with the cmap app and google earth for waypoint id's and transfer to the graphs? Is Ipad better than android and are you able to get your gps location on the lake with the tablet? Thanks for sharing your expertise.

Google earth on tablets and phones is worthless. I can only load waypoints in GE on my computer and dump into a kmz file. I'm Garmin so I then have to convert to GPX and then to a micro SD to load on my Garmin. Not sure what brand you are running.

Using Lowrance HDS carbon units. I saw a video by E2 where he was using GE, but didn't catch how he was loading to his tablet. I'm trying to find out if IPad or Android is the way to go. Haven't been able to find much on this subject.
