I caught a lot of crappie out of there when I was a Kid.

haven't been on lake Houston since the early 60's but my memories were that it was not very scenic and crowded but it was convenient... What I call a "Southeast Teas Mudhole."

White Rock especially the creeks and people crappie fishing in all that trash

Joe Pool. Half of the parks closed since 2015.
No more crappie houses.
Half the camping closed.
Carp are taking over.

I’ve never been on lake worth, only over it, but it doesn’t look too appealing Only sandy beach in the area. Always somewhere to ski. Decent fishing. My slice of heaven.

Shafter lake Andrews county, Former county seat was near there. Based on photos presented here... this wins hands down. Many of the others mentioned look like a paradise compared to this.
