I had one that tested defective on the charger. While looking for a replacement I ran across a You Tube video explaining how to bring one back to life. I took it apart and tested the voltage at the cell and it had 16 volts. Put the plastic cover back on it is charging. I had tested the battery with the charger several times. I did not get to try the recovery procedure I saw on You Tube.

Can you post a link to that youtube video? If it works I'd be interested to see it.

The issue a lot of times is that the battery does not have enough of a charge for the charger to recognize it. You can sometimes jump them back to life. I've tried the fix on youtube and it worked for one battery but not for another.

I have used my trickle charger on my Kobalt battery before. Kobalt batteries are notorious for draining/not working if you leave them in the charger past their recharge state.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!
