So I headed out to one of my local lakes this morning to see if I could find some hungry fish and maybe some white bass. I got on the water shortly after 8 and started paddling. It was fairly windy and as usual no signs of fish on the near side of the lake. I covered a lot of water and finally found some small largemouths and then some white bass. From about 11 to 12 the white bass were going crazy I was catching one every couple minutes. I finally remembered my gopro camera to take some video, but right after I got the camera going to bite died. I ended up with I think 7 fish, one or two came off at the boat, but it was plenty for me. I think I caught my PB white bass which was 13-14 inches. I kept that one and cooked it up for an early dinner. Not many people on the lake today and I only saw one boat targeting whites. They said they were marking lots of fish about 15 feet down but they weren't getting bites. I got plenty of my spoon and spinner. I took the cliff picture way up the creek above the dam, but didn't catch any of the fish up there, lots of babies there though.

Here's some video from my trip though it's not the best as the fish stopped biting after I started filming:

looks like that lake has changed since I was on it last (around 1990) if that is boerne city lake.

heard a flood almost wiped out the lm fishing, we used to fish it at night straight across from the ramp and where the lake/creek meet.
could catch 5-6# fairly frequently on black n blue jigs with craw trailers and black worms/blue tail.

had the lake record back then, probably not now.

Thanks. I went back out there yesterday and the whites were not biting, only caught 2 small LMB. The water was about 8 degrees colder than last week so they probably don't feel like biting but warmer weather this week should change that, if they haven't spawned yet already.
