A friend asked for a custom crappie rod. This is built on a North Fork Composites (G Loomis Co) 6'6" Light/Fast, IM. Fuji KR concept layout, Fuji Fazlite micro guides (size 5 runners). Fuji HPS hood to cover the seat threads, ATC Aero reel seat.

This is my first North Fork build. This thing is super light and feels sweet. Might have to keep this one and make him another...

Awesome Huckleberry. Some really nice looking diamond wraps there. I especially like the last one in the last picture. A couple questions for you.

On the diamond wraps, whats your process for finishing? IE, do you use CP to hold in place, cut excess off, overwrap and then thread finish as normal?

I noticed you have a certificate of authenticity from Northfork in the back ground of one of the pictures. Curious about this as I have about 6 or 7 Northfork blanks ive purchased (not built on yet) including an X-ray, and none of them came with a certificate. Is that something you requested?

Thanks Shinerln Tx, The wrap in the last picture was still uncoated and I used color treated thread. I don't do anything special before coating the wrap, just start slopping it on! I bought two NFC Xray blanks and a few weeks after I received the blanks they sent me the certificates. I did not request them, I didn't even know they had them. I built it as a gift for a friend of mines daughter who fishes tournaments in Fla. This was the first coat.
