Brrrr this morning. But as the day went on and the sun came up it warmed up some. The morning bite really didn't happen, but once it started to warm up the fish got more active and started biting. I think many of the anglers were waiting for the boys and girls to start heading to the banks. However, with 52-degree water temps that is unlikely right now.
All fish 10" and up are keepers. Only the best 5 count.
Boaters
First Place went to Rick Green of Missouri with 5 bass for 12.81 LB with a 4.31 LB lunker.
Second Place went to Dennis Bubnas of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 11.63 with a 3.02 LB lunker.
Third Place went to Galen Smith of Alba 6 bass for 10.10 LB. which is the 2.41 LB boater lunker.
Fourth Place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 8.15 LB with a 2.88 LB lunker.
Fifth Place Jack White of Farmers Branch of Mineola with 3 bass for 6.77 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker.
10th Place and the boater lunker went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with a 5.71 LB bass.
Co-Anglers
First Place went to Rick Wright of Rowlett with 3 bass for 6.12 LB with a 4.04 LB. is the co-angler lunker.
Second Place went to Tom Black of Tulsa with 3 bass for 4.07 LB. with a 1.77 LB lunker.
third Place went to Gary Gilmore of Ennis with 3 bass for 3.57 LB with a 1.49 LB lunker.
Fourth Place went to Rudy Hall of Alba with 3 bass for 3.37 LB with a 2.61 LB Lunker.
Fifth Place went to Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 3 bass for 2.51 LB with a 1.37 LB lunker.
This week we managed 62 keepers with only 4 skunks.
So,
you'd like to fish at Lake Fork but don't really have the $500 for a guide. You can come and fish with us for a $20 entry fee and a $20 donation for your boater. Annual dues is also $20. Our group of boaters will be able to put you on fish most of the time.
The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts, we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 53+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.
