 Lowrance Hook2 question

I have an extra Hook2 7in tripleshot unit I want to mount on my trolling motor but don't really need side scan up front and the tripleshot transducer is too big. Can I buy a splitshot transducer and it work on my tripleshot head unit?

No it will not ea Hooks software is based on the model transducer it came with.

Just got off the phone with Lowrance which was a joke..but they are telling me I can use splitshot transducer on my unit that came with the tripleshot just not the other way around. So who knows?? I'll keep doing a little a research.

Turn off Auto Mode, go to settings/Sonar/installation/transducer type, Look for the splitshot listing for a transducer if its there then its possilbe if its not then won't work.

OK Found the info and yes you can use a splitshot on a tripleshot one of those rare exceptions. Sorry about the confusion. SplitShot: The SplitShot transducer provides traditional sonar that will track bait and mark fish. It will also provide DownScan Imaging to identify structure under your boat. The SplitShot transducer will work with any SplitShot or TripleShot Hook2 units . Splitshot

I have a extra power cord and a transducer adapter cable that allows you to upgrade to a 9 pin transducer. They are both from a hook 2.
