Does anyone know of a creek in the DFW area that is shallow enough for wading? I know a few but they are all too deep and I've been wanting to do some wade fishing.

All creeks should have several areas suitable for wading, I've waded in quite a few here in DFW chasing sunnies and dip-netting for the even smaller species. Although my brand of wading is in swimtrunks and I sometimes go neck deep or start swimming lol. A couple of ones around the area I'd suggest are Big Fossil Creek, Bear Creek, Hutton Branch, and Spring Creek.

Rowlett creek is like that above Plano. In Allen, it's a pretty very clear calcite bottom creek. It has some sizeable Bass it it in places. This is below McDerrmont drive in Allen. An old low water bridge waterfall. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-75490-131341-007.jpg) This is a 16 inch bass on the line in super clear water. I am from Arkansas and this water can be as clear as the Buffalo river. The creek is full of trash though, as TX cares little for creeks. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-75490-131342-clear_water_bass.jpg)

As a kid I waded Rowlett creek almost every day in the summer. Lots of great spots.

Man I love to wade creeks, grew up doing it with my dad and brother. The water is too cold right now but as soon as it warms up I’ll be hitting the local creeks here in Alabama with my kids and I plan on making some videos doing it.
My YouTube channel is Bama Creek Bum.
I have a couple fishing videos on there as well as a frog gigging video, these were done in the last month.
