Does anyone have a recommendation for a striper guide on this lake? Not looking for food, looking to catch some large ones and release.

David Cochran and or his dad , George , 501-844-7974. Maybe too late to book with him as he is super busy. He consistently puts clients on mid 20 lb stripes.

I just finished a trip with David Cochran. That guy is a true professional he was punctual, his boat and equipment were spotless and in great working order - he is a true gentleman. My wife and I fished with him two days and I could not not of asked for better experience -huge fish (24lb was the biggest). ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/download/Number/27462/filename/IMG_6475.JPEG)

Very nice, David is top notch in every phase of his craft. He works hard to put you on the big fish and not just fish ! That fish appears to be over three feet long and fat.

Capt John T. Hall (501) 622-9972 fished 4 times w/him ..he is a pro just step on his boat and let him take the wheel. I had a trip booked with him last year. It rained the week before and the lake came up quite a bit. It also was raining while we were there in Hot Springs for 2 out of 3 days. He told me it would most likely be a boat ride but would still take us if I wanted. I decided to save my time and money. Several of his guide buddies had gone the day before and had no luck. He seemed like a very honest and nice person. Lots of people would have taken your money regardless. Would book with him again if we went back.

Fished with Mike at Top Gun, great guy, great boat, we wound up fishing from sun up to 10:30am and four of us landed seven from 5lb to 13lb, will go back in March or April next year.

Be careful. Arkansas has some of the worst, lying, no good guides out there. Unbelievable my experiences each time I have hired an AR guide.
I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.
