Just thinking…since the cost of used cars and trucks is up some 38 to 40 percent and seeing that you can pay more for a used truck than what it sold for new…is this true in the boat world as well?
I did a NADA Boat value on my boat and its like 8k higher than what it was just a year ago according to NADA.
Thanks for your input!

Yes, looks like NADA has increased values considerably.

Dang, I should have checked before I agreed to my sale price. Looks like I lost about 8k!

My buddy had some work done on his 2010 Sketeer the other day and the salesman said it would retail today for $35k. He paid $38k 12 years ago. It's just getting stupid.

With 5 dollar gas might not last long, people have to make choices

Take a look at Boat Trader. Plenty of two, and three year old boats selling for as much as or just slightly less than a new one of the same build. And they're selling as fast as they get posted.

Yep I've looking at BT here in Florida, crazy what some of the prices are. Bad time to want to buy a used boat frown.

I'm already seeing one DFW bass boat dealer flooded with used bass boats, I figure that is something that will be coming before to long and it looks like it may have already started, given the number of bass boats that have sold in the past couple of years there are a ton of people that own one now that have never owned one before and they have no idea that the expense of owning one can be like the tip of the iceberg and some will realize they've bought them and have zero time to use them. I think with in the next year you are going to see the boat market crash and it may take some boat manufactures with it for the simple reason there will be a glut of boats on the market. It won't just effect the bass boat market but the entire boating industry.
