Latest update, 5” wacky rigged Senko. Large Mouths, no spots in this particular lake. Also caught this lews mach1 speed stick combo on the same rig, in 28’ of water . Turned it in to the Ranger Station .

I don’t know if it’s your 8616 series graph or what, but your LS has always been fascinating. I wish you have the ultra series also, would love to see if you had the same clean screens. (Lack of GT & dead zone).

(Lack of GT & dead zone). Oh I have the dead zone. Pissing and moaning about it doesn’t fix it. I’ve learned to fish around. Year and a half ago I was a lifelong bankbeater and now I’ve developed so much confidence fishing off shore. Live sonar has opened up a whole new world of fishing for me and I’m like a kid in a candy store. Are there downfalls? Absolutely, but the upsides far out weigh the down, so I’m going to enjoy every minute of the technologically and not whine about it , .

I’ve never noticed it in any of your videos. It was a painful experience watching that senko flutter down. Great video showing how those little suckers hug the bottom and hide.

Very cool KnotTexan! I wonder if they would hit a small swimbait?
Just an IT guy with a fishing addiction.

Hey Knot, maybe you should order an Alabama rig or ten! (Inside joke, he’ll understand although nobody else will)

Very cool KnotTexan! I wonder if they would hit a small swimbait? No luck, believe me I tried. I only tried the senko because nothing else was working. Ended up going through two packages of them (man I hope this new company that bought Yamamoto baits doesn’t screw them up).

How often are you using perspective mode versus the forward modes? about how much of your day do you spend scoping vs fishing? Does the scope help you catch/spot/find those bass locked to the bottom (assuming they arent cats) for bottom dragging baits?
im about 95% sold. Im pretty sure im 100% sold but trying to talk myself out of it! LOL

This is the only lake I currently fish that has shallow enough flats (less than 10’) that I will use perspective mode and that will be from April through September. Of the seven or eight other lakes I fish they are deep canyon lakes and perspective mode is useless. So percentage wise, less than 10 but you never know that’s why I got it. I caught my PB using perspective mode on this very lake, so it can be useful. The two clips above you could see the fish so it was about finding the right bait. Most of the time it’s about looking for structure (rocks, gravel, lay downs and hard bottom) and ledges with structure like the above clips and casting to the structure and that’s when you’ll generally see the fish. They’ll come up off the bottom to check out your bait and hopefully hit it. I’m very much technologically challenged and have to live very much within a budget (no wife or kids helps a lot) and next to a spot lock troller it’s worth every penny and then some. Is it frustrating? Sometimes. But the things you will learn by owning it will improve your fishing and fishing experience immensely. I’m 58 and like I said above was a bank beater all my life. Now I’m a bank beater when I want to be (during the spawn . Oh and will be buying the new version when it comes available, just sayin .
