Outside the tourquemaster what is the difference in the two? Looking at the numbers it looks the same but I have no idea.

I replaced a 2013 250 proxs with a 250 Proxs 4 stroke in March of 2021. Mostly didn't want to spend the money on a new boat so did the motor to get next best thing and get new warranty and less potential motor issues. First thing is of course you couldn't carry on a conversation when running the 2 stroke no problem with the 4 much quieter, second the torque is much better in the 4 stroke - really feel it mid range and even loading the boat seems to be able to push the boat up on the trailer much easier when I didn't get the trailer in the water quite far enough. RPM range on the 4 is i think 6200 (may be 6000 not sure) while the 2 stroke was 5500 which may account for the torque difference.
Kind of minor but that little knock sound the 2 stroke compressor always made really annoyed me - no knock in the 4 stroke. I recall that the 2013 2 stroke had the same gear case and gear ratio as the 4 stroke does, torque master 1.75/1.

What is the cubic inch displacement of each? Torque is a function of Cubic inches.
