**** New Spotted Seatrout Regulations ****
When: March 16, 2022 - August 31, 2023
Where: Middle and Lower Texas Coast
New Rules:
1.) Three fish per day per angler
2.) Minimum size of 17 inches and a maximum size limit of 23 inches
3.) No fish over the maximum length may be retained
Transgenders: God made them, the devil changed their minds.

One trout "over" the State Record should be able to be retained...If not, no one can be able to break the record. My $.02
They did that with Black Drum years ago.

I HATE feeble minded people in positions of authority.
This is an example of complete ignorance. They have no regard to how many million under sized trout they're going to kill. Lower the limit for a short time? Fine, just make it three and done.

Agreed-Before long, we’ll only get to keep one a day. The “#12 trebles/popping cork/ shrimp guys”= a bunch of gill hooked 10” trout deaths
