Got to the lake late today due to some sort of old people(me) malfunction...turned on to the highway at 5:15 am & the boat & trailer came off the truck. Too heavy for me to lift...Tried to get some roadside assistance from my insurance company & they were totally worthless. I won't say any names...but it rhymes with "Progressive". Anyway, two outstanding young he men stopped and helped me get it the trailer back on the truck...Can't thank them enough. So...for the fishing...we got to the lake around 9am & fished til 6pm. Ended up with 56 bass & 1 gaspergoo. Bass caught on a variety of baits including Ned Rigs, Culprit worms and swimbaits. Water temp was back up in the low 60s in most areas we fished. Good to have Doc back on the water after a layoff due to personal issues. He gave me a lesson on how to catch the big ones today...Also saw Allen (Choclabdog) on the lake & he was catching quite a few as well...

Lets go!! glad to see Doc is at it again. You 2 are a dangerous duo out there!

Sorry about the boat and trailer situation, but you clearly made a day out of it!

Great job. I'm going to try to make it out there Sunday in my inflatable. Was it windy?

Thanks Chuck, Stratton & Carl...It was not windy...weather conditions were ideal, except that we hoped for more clouds.

Great job guys! Great seeing Doc out there again yesterday. It was a nice day but I missed the cloud cover we had last week.

It is hard to find those no wind cloudy days when it isn't raining.

Banker... I could tie my boat to Steve's and still only catch half the fish he does. He has the magic touch.

I bet that the gaspergoo made you think that you had the lake record! Those fish can fight.

It was great to get out yesterday on Fayette with Steve and Alan. And then the gorgeous weather and the fish biting and the Big fish biting my line …. as our forum captain says so well….., “It just doesn’t get any better !”

If I was looking at this photo, the one thing I would focus on is trying to figure out the depth showing on the electronics...yes...it is 16.5 ft deep...
