Want to try a different bait caster line that is both abrasion resistant and sensitive for texas rigging. I fish waters that mostly have trees and brush for cover, i.e. Lake Fork. Prefer to avoid fluorocarbon due to cost and problems after backlashes. Have experience with Trilene XT, Mason, Izor Line (years ago), Yo Zuri Hybrid and McCoy Mean Green. Usually use around 15 -20 line due to quality size bass. Thinking about trying Sufix Siege or maybe going back to YoZuri. Also hear a lot about CXX but know I would want to drop down to it's thick diameter. Hoping someone has good experience with some other line(s)? Sometimes I get lucky and catch a double digit...

Use this in 15# test. Very strong line. It does have memory but it is super strong. I only use CXX in 20 for large heavy swim baits. Get you a Daiwa Tatula SV TW and you can set up this reel and forget about backlashes. I use this reel to teach people that have problems with constant backlashes or people that have never thrown a baitcaster. Fantastic reel and the best one for skipping docks on the market for anti backlash. Better than the DC reels out there. What did you not like about McCoys Mean green.

Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo. I tried it for swimbaits and it was an easy decision to use it for other methods.

The P line CXX is strong as all get out but it’s wiry especially in the cold. I have gone exclusively with Mason other than braid The large spool is economical, cast great & it’s thin for lb size. That Sunline Defier is probably my favorite though except for the cost & if I remember right bulk spool wasn’t really available but haven’t checked in awhile.

15lb CXX. I prefer braid mainline to 6ft CXX leader to eliminate the memory issues with CXX. With 15lb CXX; it’s just supple enough to spool with straight 15lb CXX; but I wouldn’t do that with 17lb or heavier.
Another copoly line that a lot of people prefer for T rig/pitching is Maxima Ultragreen. I like it; but don’t have the confidence in it like I do with CXX.
