Went out from 7 this morning till 3 in the afternoon with Tony of Thunder Cove Guide Service. As expected, it was tough going. We saw quite a bit of bait on the fish finder and fished one end of the lake to the other in depths from 4' to 44'. Marked some good fish in 16' on the north end but no bites. Finally got one around 15 pounds and another 8 pounds or so drifting cut shad in 44' of water. I am happy we avoided the skunk and am looking forward to the shallow water bite coming up.
This is my third trip out with Tony, he worked hard today to try and find us some bigger fish that were biting and was willing to ride out the 3 foot rollers that blew up after lunch, I can happily recommend him if you are looking for a guide.
