Planning a trip to a new lake to try.
Mostly fish south Texas so I am looking for a little help on the time of year the bass spawn normally starts at Hubbard?
Not looking for spots just some advice.
I was thinking of going sometime in April or early May.
Thanks for any help.

Fished it for the first time in October and will go back for sure. Lots of rock, reeds, creek channels and some grass just a lot of diverse areas to fish. I plan on hitting it this spring as well good luck. Really like the lake

It's a diverse lake with great shallow water spots and deep off shore areas for the bass angler. There will likely be a tournament on any given weekend that time of year but generally plenty room. It's made a big comeback after the long drought. We catch them on moving baits and soft plastics. Good luck.

My only trip to Hubbard Creek was to meet the owner of the bait I bought last summer for a test ride. Definitely plan on making a trip up there one of these days.

There is hydrilla all over it, so when you find it, fish it.
