For the money, the current discounted lvs32. But with the new lvs34 coming out soon, is money saved a good thing? I think Lowrance dropped the price of their AT or gave a rebate with it. Seems they are all fairly close in price. You just have to decide on the graph situation. I prefer Lowrance, but got a great deal on Garmin. Ran dual graphs for a year and it was too busy, sold the Garmin and went with the AT.

how is AT when it comes to finding fish in the grass?

I haven’t had mine in grass yet, but they all will be the same. If the grass is thick, you’re just gonna see grass. Patchy grass will be different.

At this point, since they finally officially announced the lvs34, I’d wait and see how it’s looking.

appreciate that advice, but it's already coming attached to a new boat. no worries though.

Hop & Grout Scout here's a great day for me today. I ordered the LVS32/GLS10 Livescope off Amazon five weeks ago for $1,499. I ordered from them because I have AMEX points to use. Had already purchaced a 102SV with a GT54 xducer in excellaet shape from a guy off here for 1K. Had Shut up and Fish do the install. Was mainly gonna use the 102SV for LS. I have Humminbird already on the boat, Helix 10's and I really like them. I downloaded the update to a micro sd card and after lots of reading was gonna disconnect the GLS10 and just update the 102SV to try to avoid some of the problems. In the meantime I ordered a perspective mount for $50 from BPS and was gonna install it myself. Of course now the LVS34 has come out. I drank way too much coffee and contacted Amazon about a return. Figured what the hell! I have had it out on the boat twice and love it. I told them all of this only for the guy to say it was past the 30 day return window by one week. I said I understand and was ready to hang up. After a moment of silence he said, I'm gonna make an exception for you and allow you to return it! BPS said I can return the perspective monunt as well. So I will pull the LS system off the boat and use the prepaid label he emailed me to send it back and take the mount to BPS in Grapeviine. I will receive $1,550 back. I will use that to get the new GLS10/LVS34 system and only be out a couple of hundred bucks! Just wanted to tell you how my day went! Appreciate all your posts and comments guys!

thumb That was really nice of them, I think the 34 is going to be great. The 32 was good, but did have a few downfalls. I don’t know if I am too fond of the way Garmin did this whole deal. I know they are a business, but they should have let purchasers know that something new was on the horizon, if it weren’t for the BPS ad, there’d be quite a few upset buyers.

But they will have plenty of stock now for Black Friday sales, give more guys a chance at owning it.

Yes I did not like the way they did it either. The update was not a good experience for a lot of people. Maybe should have come out with the new ducer first then the update. I am fortunate I am able to return my stuff and looking forward to the LVS34.

It depends on your vision, if you can see great still, a 9” graph will work for crappie fishing. (I assume you’re crappie fishing). If you fish deep water, a bigger screen is obviously better. Go to Russell Marine Products.com and look at the selections available. The price rises quickly with bigger screens. The cheapest models: 93uhd, the 1022 (10” screen push buttons), the 102 (10” screen touch screen), the 1222 (12” screen push buttons), the 122 (12” screen touch screen). Basic mapping on these models, so they are cheaper.

There will be a price increase on Garmin products effective March 1st (shocker right, the increases just don’t stop). Just a FYI for those that are on a budget, I’m not telling anyone to purchase anything, just passing on from the email I received from an online electronics distributor. They did not mention how much of an increase was coming.

Garmin, Lowrance, Hummingbird all stay tight lipped about new products being released. How garmin did it was no different.
