MUDDY CREEK NO TRESSPASSING!

Hey all!

I went by Muddy Creek this week end to see if there was any ruin action.

Right at the entrance of the lot where everyone parks I noticed two new No Trespassing signs, one on each side.

Anyone know anything about this?

it seems every fish is a hybrid until its landed.

see also is it a hybrid / I think its a hybrid

Wouldn’t doubt the reason being trash. Walked up and down Rowlett Creek last Friday and there was more trash then I would like to admit!

Give a man a fish he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend!

I wish they would do the same at Rowlett Creek. Each year it gets worse especially during the white bass run.
Cast nets, under size, over limit and every other violation.
The trash is sickning. If a game warden camped out at Fireweel he would run out of tickets by noon each day.
Fished there many years but no more, never saw a game warden.

There was a Game Warden there this past weekend. And last year I saw them at Muddy Creek as well. But yes I have seen it all down there and it gets worse every single year. The problem is they really only want to ticket the ones that will pay the fines and those type are few and far between at those creeks.

Will Hackney has been patrolling Rowlett Creek. With the miles of bank, he needs us to be eyes and ears. He checked me one time last year. I found him to be very friendly and courteous. He asked to see my license, looked at the two fish I had on my stringer which were in the 12 to 12.50 inch, and said have a nice day!

TPWD publishes the Wardens in each county. If you see illegal harvest in the creeks, give Will a call.

Some of it yes. I bet 70% isnt though. We are talking 12 packs of Modelo, Tecate, Corona, fishing line, lure packaging, etc.

if the property is privatly owned the owners figured out they didnt need freeloaders on their property to leave trash everywhere.

I saw the game warden there (Firewheel) last Thursday and it sounds like he was there over the weekend.

I really hope that is not true. Are the wardens not also allowed to confiscate your gear if they suspect you of certain offences?

With the price of fishing gear lately that could be a real challenge for some of those types to get back out there and poach more.

i hate to see the show lone star law it shows how stupid an unprepared some folks are when they use the outdoor resources of our great state . some folks wont get ticketed because the wardens an other law enforcement know it is a waste of time because they wont show up an pay the tickets anyway.

From what I understand is someone bought the land where most parked and is closing off access. I do not blame the new land owner because I know how trashed out muddy creek and Rowlett are.
