Looking for ideas on what would be good giveaways for our Jr Anglers at the Catfish Get-Together. My buddy Killer Bee said he was going buy some cast nets for the kids and I think that is pure greatness. I had some great times as a kid chunking my cast net. I want to make sure every kid receives something so what other items do y’all think would make good giveaways. I was thinking maybe starter fishing rods like Zebcos and ugly sticks and also starter tackle boxes or should I just get cast nets for all? Appreciate any input and ideas I can get.

Great idea Chris. I will give this some thought. My son is really excited that there is a chance to win a trophy. I showed him all the giveaways you have so far and he was more excited about the trophy. HAHA

along the same line as the cast nets: As a kid, I have very fond memories of using a seine net with my friends and cousins. Roughly the same price as some of the small cast nets, Kids parents just have to find 2 straight sticks or something to tie the net to on each end. I remember we literally used branches off a china berry tree for several of our seines. It's more of a summer time technique since you have to get in the water, but that too is the fun part of it as a kid.
You can also do the prefilled tackle boxes. Kids seem to love getting those with lures/gear already inside.

Zebco's are awesome, and stick a juicy bait on the line and chances are they will catch something.!

I also have two rigs, both used but still good stuff, I would be willing to give to a good home(s) if some older kids need them to fish. They are bait casters so not really suitable for the little kids, but would work for the juniors.

Hey Chris, I know they don't really have anything to do with fishing but kids absolutely love walkie talkie's. I think you can get them pretty cheap too.

Great idea Geno. I have a nice brand new set of Midland walkie-talkies that I will donate. I won them at my church fishing tournament a couple years ago and I already had some.

How about a blue catter started tackle box? These little boxes are $8 on Amazon and we could make up 15 or so with some hooks, some weights, swivels leader line, etc.
