I was curious if anyone has stayed at Champion Inn across from Diablo ramp at Amistad. Appreciate any feedback as I am going to Amistad in March. Don't remember the name of it before it closed.

It was LakeView. I haven’t stayed there, but they do have pretty decent breakfast.

Yes you are correct , Lakeview was closed last time I was there in the fall of 2017

Drove down there two weeks ago to check it out myself. On line it says the rooms have been remodeled but the outside still look a little rough. Also some of the cars that were parked there were kind of sketchy. Rooms are hard to find as since all of the national guard and state troopers have been assigned there. There are some nice but pricey Airbnb's in the area that you might look at as we did.

Stayed there multiple times when it was Lakeview. Now have a camper next door at Holiday. It was a typical lake-side motel back then.
