Thanks Steve! So far the water bodies I have been fishing are in pretty good shape. We can always use some good rain especially further south!

Thanks Curt0407 for the reply. The clearer the water and condition of the water body, the nicer the colors is what I have been seeing throughout the years. Usually late February and March the sunfish will really start showing off their colors.

Great stuff Chuck! What's your bottom technique you mentioned? Thanks for the reply! When I use a "bottom technique", it is simply casting a worm threaded on a size 8 or 6 cricket hook where ever I think a fish is going to be. Edges of grass/weed beds, sunken timber, brush piles, overhanging tree limbs, etc. Once on the bottom I retrieve it. The speed of the retrieve depends on how aggressive (active) the fish are. If the fish are not active or non aggressive it is usually a slow retrieve. If they are active and aggressive a medium to fast retrieve. For bottoms that have a lot of snags, dead weeds/grass, etc I will usually use a float. Over the years I have gotten lucky, and have caught some pretty nice fish from the bottom. I enjoy fishing from the bottom the best.
